THE STORY OF Lily AND Kurt
We met the way all great modern romances begin - with a right swipe on Tinder. After several ambitious attempts by Kurt to lock in a “casual coffee,” we finally met in person at a wine night strategically orchestrated by Lily and her friends. How romantic! We’ve been pretty much inseparable ever since.

​Over the years, we’ve found a shared love for good wine, craft beer, and overpriced meals (always justified in the name of “the experience”).
2025 turned out to be our most memorable year yet - getting engaged on a road trip through New Zealand, moving into our first apartment together, and welcoming our son Bowie into our lives (orange dog pictured below).​

We feel incredibly lucky to have so many of our favourite people in one place to celebrate with us. Each of you has played a part in our story so far, and we can’t wait to keep making memories together for many years to come.
Everything YOU NEED TO KNOW
Ceremony
Our ceremony will begin at 3:00pm at Maleny Lodge. Please aim to arrive ~30 mins earlier to find a seat and settle in. Cocktail hour will follow at 3:30pm.
Accommodation
We have provided a short list of nearby accommodation options here. We recommend staying close to the venues, as many options are within walking distance.​
Plus-ones and kids
While we would love to celebrate with everyone, our venue capacity means we are unable to accommodate children or plus-ones unless specified on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding.
Reception
The celebration continues at Brouhaha from 5:30pm–9:30pm. Brouhaha is a 600m walk down the road from our ceremony (we tested it, it took 8 minutes!), but lifts will be available if needed.
Dress Code
Spring formal attire - think vibrant spring colours! Ladies are encouraged to wear elegant maxi or midi dresses in spring tones or florals, while gents can opt for suits or smart separates (ties optional).
The ceremony/cocktail hour will be on grass and there are some pebbled areas, so ladies, you might want to avoid stilettos. Maleny can also get cool in the evenings, so plan your outfit accordingly. We’ve included a little collage for inspiration, but feel free to message us if you have any questions.
Wishing Well
Celebrating with our favourite people is the best gift we could ask for. However if you would like to give something, a small contribution to our wishing well would be greatly appreciated.
Travel & Parking
Uber does operate in Maleny, however availability can be limited, especially later in the evening. We recommend pre-booking a taxi for the end of the night.
For those driving, you may choose to leave your car in the Brouhaha carpark overnight, however will need to move it before 10am the following morning. There is also limited street parking available, and an IGA carpark within walking distance.
Food & Drink
There will be a range of beer, wine, spirits/cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages available at cocktail hour and the reception. Dinner will be wood-fired pizza - please advise in the RSVP if you have any dietary requirements.
